“I feel like there are things I should be doing… but society keeps telling me no.”

In a world full of choices and opportunities, it’s strange how boxed in we can still feel. For some reason, societal pressures today feel stronger than ever—maybe because of social media, maybe because we’re more connected than ever before.

Have you ever wanted to do something—or become something—and just couldn’t give yourself permission to go for it?

That inner tension, the feeling that you’re meant for something more, shows up at many stages in life. Some people call it Divine Discontent—that gentle pressure from your Higher Self, your future self, or God whispering, “It’s time.”

The Call to Change

We’ve all heard stories of people making radical shifts in their lives:

These aren’t just stories—they’re testimonies to what happens when we say yes to our deepest truth.

Happiness follows courageous action.

It’s one of the universal laws.
The person who gets up and goes to the gym feels better than the one who didn’t.
The man who stopped drinking and started taking care of himself? He’s happier than the one who didn’t find the courage to change.

Happiness follows courageous action. Period.

Giving Yourself Permission

There’s a book I love titled “Fck It.”* It’s a call to let go and be your authentic self. For me, that moment came with launching MultiGen Mindset Institute. Deep in my heart, I knew it was my calling. But still, I procrastinated—held back by limiting beliefs and fears—for six long years.

When I finally gave myself permission to say yes, everything changed.
I wrote and published my first book in under 30 days. After six years of hesitation, clarity arrived the moment I allowed myself to believe this was my path.

The Resistance Is Real

Every one of us has been given divine gifts. But two layers of resistance often hold us back:

  1. Resistance to discovering what we’re meant to do
  2. Resistance to believing we’re capable of doing it

Sometimes I look around my life—my home, my office, my truck, my books, my business—and realize:
My life has unfolded better than I imagined.

I visualized a specific truck—a Ford Raptor—and ended up with a better one.
I dreamed of a cute little house in Boerne, Texas—and got something even more beautiful.

There’s a scripture that says:

“God is able to do far more than you can ask, think, or imagine.”

We often don’t give ourselves permission to believe in those dreams.
Why?
Because deep down, we know those dreams require us to become someone greater—someone braver, bolder, and more honest than we’ve ever been.

The Cost of Suppression

It’s heartbreaking to think how many people could’ve been wildly successful, deeply fulfilled, and profoundly impactful—but never gave themselves the chance.

The dreams inside you will destroy you if you don’t let them out.

Write the book—or it will haunt you.
Start the business—or the job you hate will slowly erode your soul.
Leave the toxic relationship—or you’ll drown in a life that was never meant for you.

There’s another verse that says:

“Life and death is in the tongue. Choose life.”

This Is Your Call

I’m telling you from lived experience:
Listen to your inner voice.
Give yourself permission to be you.
Being your authentic self might require more courage and faith than anything else in life—but it’s worth it.
